February 14, 1984 – The Beginning

Debbie Sharpe announces Eat Your Hearts Out! to the music world in the UK, and opens a Café in EZEE Hire rehearsal studios in London. Quickly establishes herself as a leading tour caterer, hooking clients like Hot Chocolate, Kool and The Gang, INXS, George Michael, The Cure, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, and Guns N’ Roses before taking on stadium shows for U2, INXS, Rod Stewart, George Michael, Tina Turner, and Bon Jovi.

1989 – The Moscow Music Peace Festival

Menu planning, ordering, equipment, feeding up to 800 people at each meal for two weeks. We had to bring everything, I mean everything, from London in three 53’ semis, driving overland to Moscow. On the first night of service, some little old ladies were going through our trash, so from then on – despite being instructed that we were not to feed anyone outside the stadium – we made boxed meals from our leftovers, and put them in trash bags for people to take.

1990 – The Paul McCartney World Tour

Starting in the UK and Europe, Linda McCartney insisted that we go around the world with them and we travelled to Japan and the USA. The tour was difficult in that everybody had to eat vegetarian as Paul and Linda were paying for the food. At that time the availability of vegetarian foods was scarce, and it was a challenge, but we did it! Eat Your Hearts Out! is still catering for Paul to this day.

While on this tour, we were courted to set up catering in several US cities but ultimately chose Chicago, where we are today. Eventually, in 2013 we became The Goddess Rocks! in the US, while leaving Eat Your Hearts Out! Operating in the UK & Europe.

1990 and Beyond

We cater over 200 theater shows each year, in addition to stadiums, arenas and festivals. Our peak months are in the summer with outdoor venues and festivals, while also serving as the in-house caterer for the entire season at 2 Chicagoland amphitheaters from May to September. Promoter Live Nation has made us their “regional caterer” in 2024, and has us booked for stadiums and arenas in Minneapolis, Detroit, Omaha, St. Louis and Alpine Valley this season. We are currently on tour with top country artist Zach Bryan. Other recent tours include Rod Stewart, Duran Duran, Alicia Keys, SZA, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Shakira, and Olivia Rodrigo.

In addition to The Goddess Rocks!, Debbie owns The Goddess and Grocer, an Australian style deli and retail store with multiple locations in Chicago as well as at O’Hare airport. Always not busy enough, she has a thriving corporate catering business, as well as a 12,000 square foot commissary kitchen, which creates and produces wholesale packaged dinners and baked goods for local and mail order customers.
